    How polishing works:

    You can make a surface smoother with polishing. With a coarse surface you usually start by sanding with sandpaper or sanding pads and water. You work from coarse-grit sandpaper to a fine-grit sandpaper. Usually sandpaper up to a grain size of 2000 or 2500 is used before you start working with polishing pastes.

    Polishing surfaces is easiest with a polisher. An eccentric polisher is preferred if you don't have much experience with polishing. Due to the swinging movement of an eccentric polisher, there is less heat development and you have less chance of circles (swirls) in your surface. You can also polish by hand, but it will take a lot longer. The advantage of polishing by hand is that you can work more accurately.

    Start with a coarse polishing paste with a coarse polishing pad. You can easily work back to medium, fine to super fine. You can go so far that you get high gloss to mirror effect.

    Orders placed and paid for on weekdays before 4:00 PM are usually shipped the same day. Orders placed after 4:00 PM or on weekends are processed the next business day.
