Premium Linear Silicone Oil for Professional Release Agent and Lubricant Applications

WACKER® AK 35 is a linear, non-reactive polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluid with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 35 mm²/s at 25°C. As a pure PDMS oil, this product distinguishes itself from organic mineral oils by an exceptionally stable property profile over a wide temperature range, from a -60°C pour point to a flash point of over 205°C. WACKER® AK 35 is colorless, odorless, and highly chemically inert, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and technical applications where high purity, low surface tension, and reliable performance are required.

    Key Benefits

    • Viscosity 35 mm²/s at 25°C: Stable fluidity with minimal change over a wide temperature range – ideal for processes where consistent flow properties are essential.
    • Flash Point >205°C (ISO 2719): Excellent thermal safety in processing environments with elevated temperatures – reduced fire risk compared to mineral oils.
    • High Chemical Inertness: Does not react with most substrates and process chemicals – protects the process and extends the lifespan of molds and equipment.
    • Low Surface Tension (0.021 N/m): High surface activity ensures excellent spreading on complex geometries and effective separation between mold and product.
    • Pour Point -60°C: Maintains liquid properties at low temperatures – suitable for applications in cold environments and cryogenic process lines.
    • No Hazardous Classification (GHS/CLP): Not classified as a hazardous substance – simplifies REACH compliance, storage, and transport without ADR classification.

    Typical Applications

    • Release agent for rubber, plastic, and composite molds – prevents adhesion without leaving residues on the final product
    • Lubricant for plastic-on-plastic, plastic-on-metal, and rubber seals and O-rings
    • Antifoaming agent in industrial production processes, paints, and varnishes
    • Dielectric fluid for electrical and electronic equipment such as transformers and switches
    • Heat transfer fluid in closed systems with a temperature range from -60°C to above 200°C
    • Additive for polishes, textile and fiber auxiliaries, and surface treatments

    Processing Instructions:

    1. Before use, check that the fluid is clear and free of contaminants.
    2. Apply the product by brush, cloth, spray, or immersion depending on the application. When used as a release agent: apply a thin, even layer to the mold surface.
    3. When atomizing or spray applying: ensure adequate ventilation and wear a half-mask respirator (FFP1) if necessary.
    4. Avoid mixing with water or short-chain alcohols – WACKER® AK 35 is immiscible with polar solvents. When using with solvents: first perform a small-scale test.
    5. Store the product in a dry, cool environment at a maximum of 50°C, away from direct sunlight and flames.

Produced by Wacker Chemie AG, a global market leader in the development and production of silicones for industrial and technical applications.

    Our story

Our story began with our father, the founder of Nedform BV. We— Roel, Rutger, and Rob Collaris —are his sons and wanted to bring his passion and knowledge to the online world. That's how SAM (Silicones and More) was born—a creative space for everyone.

Whether you're a beginner, an expert, or an enthusiastic DIYer looking for the right tools, materials, and some guidance, you've come to the right place. We've worked with silicones, resins, and casting materials ourselves for years. That's why we not only deliver quality but also genuine support—based on experience.
